  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 4 cups chow mein noodles
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chilis, thinly sliced (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat sesame oil in a large wok over medium heat. Add onions, bell peppers, garlic, and red chilis. Sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Pour in broth and bring to a simmer.
  3. Add chow mein noodles and cook according to package instructions (usually 3-5 minutes)
  4. Stir in soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  5. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot
