Melting Snowman Cookies

Ingredients

  • 12 sugar cookies (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup white icing (store-bought or homemade)
  • 12 large marshmallows
  • Black and orange gel icing or edible markers
  • Mini chocolate chips (optional, for buttons)

Directions

  1. If using homemade cookies, bake and cool them completely. Store-bought sugar cookies work great, too!
  2. Spread white icing over each cookie to create a “melting snow” effect. Let some icing drip off the edges for a playful look.
  3. Microwave the marshmallows for 5–10 seconds to slightly soften them. Place one marshmallow on each cookie as the snowman’s head.
  4. Use black and orange gel icing or edible markers to draw a face on each marshmallow (eyes, a smile, and a carrot nose).
  5. Place mini chocolate chips on the icing to make buttons or other decorations.
  6. Let the icing set for a few minutes, then serve these cute, whimsical treats!
